Burgundy Shades
A traditional Jackanapes Primula x polyantha hybrid in shades of burgundy. This variety has unexpectedly been found to be still segregating, and will produce a mixture of Burgundy Jackanapes and Burgundy Hose-in-Hose primulas. Ironically, the Jackanapes plants are of exceptionally fine form. Customers willing to accept the mixture of types will be rewarded with some excellent primulas; those who are not should choose a different colour or wait until we can offer true breeding seed.
